Working on Production

A significant part of this project curve was mastering the technical demands of specific printing methods.

For apparel, this meant understanding screen printing, including how to correctly prepare files for color separation and setting the appropriate trap.

For unique items like wooden lasar burned stickers or air fresheners, I became proficient in creating and working with complex vector paths and SVG's. Crucially, I developed strong vendor communication skills, learning to translate a creative vision into specifics like Pantone colors and material choices).

Designing for People and a Culture

My design work for Aggie Outdoors was definitely guided by the spirit of the organization.

The brand ethos—adventure, community, and the rugged spirit of Texas A&M—had to be the underlying structure of every graphic.

I needed to capture the authentic, outdoor-loving, and inclusive energy of the group, ensuring that every design felt immediately recognizable and resonated deeply with the target audience of students and alumni.

What Working with Aggie Outdoors gave me

My involvement with Aggie Outdoors gave me a resilient work ethic and a comprehensive mastery of design production.

The logistical demands of managing outdoor events for 40+ people, and the organization's physical assets taught me accountability, planning, and persistence. Qualities directly translated into my design process.

This environment demanded that I operate with efficiency and precision, but also with attention and care.
